Baghouse maintenance contracts, planned before the bags fail.
A Masturlal annual maintenance contract (AMC) keeps a baghouse running through scheduled change-outs, condition surveys, bag autopsies and differential pressure (ΔP) audits. Repeat customers also get emergency stock, so an unplanned failure does not mean waiting for a new set. The aim is longer bag life and lower ΔP, which is where the contract pays for itself.
- Covers
- Change-outs, surveys, autopsy, ΔP audits
- Emergency stock
- For repeat customers
- Report
- Condition and ΔP report after each visit
What an AMC includes
- Scheduled condition surveys of bags, cages, tubesheet and pulse system
- Autopsy of pulled bags to track wear
- ΔP audit and pulse-cleaning check
- Planned change-outs timed to plant shutdowns
- Emergency stock held for the collector
- Leak testing after each change-out
Signs a baghouse needs attention
| Sign | What it can mean |
|---|---|
| ΔP rising steadily | Blinding, wrong cleaning settings or worn bags |
| Visible emissions or rising opacity | Leaking bags or seals |
| Compressed-air use rising | Valves leaking or pulsing too often |
| Bags failing in one area | Inlet abrasion or poor gas distribution |
Why it pays back
Every millibar of pressure drop is paid for by the fan, every hour the plant runs. Keeping ΔP low and extending bag life cuts both power and replacement cost, and planned change-outs avoid emergency shutdowns.
Questions, answered.
What is a baghouse AMC?
An annual maintenance contract covering inspections, audits, bag analysis and planned change-outs for a dust collector.
How often should baghouse bags be inspected?
