Filter bag installation, supervised from first bag to first pulse.

Masturlal supervises filter bag installation so new bags seal correctly, sit on the right cages and are cleaned at the right pulse energy from day one. Sets arrive kitted and labelled by row and column with installation aids, which shortens the shutdown. After installation, the team checks the tubesheet for leaks and calibrates the pulse-cleaning system.

Includes
Supervision, leak checks, pulse calibration
Sets
Kitted, labelled by row and column
Optional
CFD pulse-mapping, laser leak test

What the service includes

  • Pre-shutdown check of collector drawings, cages and tubesheet
  • Supervised bag and cage installation
  • Tubesheet and seal leak checks
  • Pulse-cleaning pressure and timing calibration
  • Pre-coating guidance for new bags where needed
  • Handover report with settings and baseline ΔP

Why supervision matters

Many early bag failures start at installation: bags not seated in the snap band, cages bent in handling, or pulse pressure set too high for new felt. Supervised installation removes these causes before the plant restarts.

Planning a change-out

  1. Send the collector specification early.
  2. Masturlal engineers and manufactures the set and kits it by row and column.
  3. The field team supervises installation during the shutdown.
  4. Leak checks and pulse tuning are done before restart.

Questions, answered.

Should new filter bags be pre-coated?

In some applications, yes. A pre-coat protects new felt from fine or sticky dust until a stable dust cake forms.

What pulse pressure should new bags use?

Usually lower than the old setting. New felt cleans easily, and too much pulse energy wears it early. The right value is set during commissioning.
